US: The Flash (2014)

It's back ladies and gents, the last season of The Flash. I think that's a wise choice, I wonder what Flash tropes we'll get this season (pep talk, levelling up, not fast enough, awful villains of the week, Cecile having a headache, Barry telling everyone he's the Flash :D).

Still glad I watched it but it's definitely run its course.

I gave up after all the fights were all he has to do is move quick to win (the only thing he's good at) but doesn't bother to do it.

Boom Boom Tish!

I stopped a little while ago when Iris was causing some Speed force sickness.. It was dreadful, well think it was the season that she got trapped in the mirror universe that started the utter dross.. Or was that Nora? I forget, so much dross in the last few seasons. I might catchup if i get bored or if they introduce Red Death in the final season.

The Flash was horrible as soon as they had Iris become a more central character along with the stretchy dude (Ralph). Barry, Cisco and Caitlin were fine with Joe as the father figure and whatever iteration of Wells as the other main character.

my eyes must be getting worse as read that as 'sketchy dude (Ralph)'.

I do like MoR.

Edit - watched both episodes and there were elements of fun and humour in the first episode, but it all quickly came crashing down with the terrible writing and storytelling.

Edit - I forgot to be specific about one of the scenes. Cecile is practicing her telekinetic ball moves and says something Joe clearly doesn't agree with. A normal show/writing may have had a momentary look of unease from Joe, the camera lingered on him for ages just to help people realise he isn't happy/agree with Cecile. She walks over with him looking so obviously against the idea and she uses her powers to say something like "I'm sensing you don't agree". No ******* ****. And she does a similar thing in episode 2.

"Lets get nuts". They just dropped that in the latest episode, that was about the only line I could make out what this season's big baddy said (muffled as ****).

Well i just watched the final season. I didnt even bother with the rest of S8 but watched the recap and it looked utterly terrible. Annnnnnd.. It continued to be be terrible for the whole 13 eps of the final season. It was just terribly written, didn't make sense in some places or there were utterly pointless changes. The Red Death episodes were utter crap and the woman playing the character has some of the worst acting i had seen throughout the entire run.

Its sad, that a show that used to be one of my favourite comic book shows, ended like this,
As good as it was to see Oliver back for an episode it still couldn't pull this season out of being utter dross!
the Finale was forgettable as well... I really dont know what is going on with writers lately, when i look at how some of my other fav shows ended (Buffy and Angel, Breaking Bad, The Clone Wars, Rebels, Justified, Banshee to name a few) and look at who this just fizzled out i am beginning to wonder why i bother anymore just to be utterly disappointed.

Yeah you are probably right, Savitar was pretty terrible and after that i really couldnt care less really. The stuff with Nora etc, mirror people, negative forces being bad, then being good, then being bad again was just exhausting really and left me just not giving a toss who had died recently.

One thing that did amuse me was that during earlier seasons that Cecile and Allegra were in i never noticed something and it was probably just the way they were shot but in the last couple of seasons i REALLY noticed how tiny the actresses that played them were.. I think Danielle Nicholet is only 5foot and Kayla Compton is only 5foot2.. Hardly intimidating  but both attractive in their own.. Although Kayla Compton did seem to be getting quite slim in the final season, i hope she isnt suffering a eating disorder like many attractive young female tv stars gave due to pressure from others.
