Sat back in the hotel bar in Middlesbrough. We tried a little bit too hard tonight, tried to force the play, and our composure went out the window. Passing standard was probably the poorest it's been this season.

Boro were excellent and certainly deserved it over the two legs. Unfortunately you come up against a team that has the measure of you, tactically, ability, etc. and unfortunately Boro were that team for us this season.

Hope they go up at Wembley - not because I like them, but because we won't have to get beaten by them 2-4 times next season! Have been up to The Riverside twice this season and seen an aggregate 7-0 loss... think I may skip the next time we play them away

From a Boro perspective, I think I'd prefer a Boro V Ipswich final.

Cracking game last night, the place was bouncing, haven't seen it like that for a good few years. Just rewatched the goals on Sky and they were all decent goals in their own way. I just hope we can put that kind of performance in a week on Monday.
