More recent: Mafia - that was great.

No-one forgets mafia..

Soldier of Fortune is looking pretty barren on mp these days.

Original Call of Duty is dying off, still a few good servers though ^_^

SiN is hardly forgotten, especially as they've released a kind of sequel/follow up episodes on Steam, plus the original Game :)

Some good old classics I never did get round to buying, Redneck Rampage was just silly.

Outlaws was really underrated I felt.

Rise of the Triad, now that's a good old forgotten game :)

Anyone remember Exhumed on the original playstation? Have strange memories of that game for some reason...of scorpians jumping at my face :o

Triad was genius but Dark forces needed too much memory.

Remember the rockets which could split and you decided when, massive blood and guts too :D

In terms of the current decade, a couple of FPS I think are often overlooked are Command and Conquer: Renegade and Chrome.

The former has a fantastic array of weapons, varied levels, decent storyline and reasonable graphics, all set in the C&C universe we know and love. Whereas the latter has some STUNNING graphics for a 2003 game - I'm suprised how little attention it received.

Blood II

Was released in 1998, think it has very good graphics for its time. The gameplay was amazing as well as the multiplayer, had a lot of fun playing this game. Some of the weapons were bizarre, yet cool!

And Quake 2, you all probably know this game :)

I really liked Blood when it first came out I must admit.

Kingpin was an awesome online game, especially the bagman mode. Quake 2 and Kingpin were my fave online fps's for a long long time. Then came along a little game called CS...
