Ive got a drive that wont format, i pulled the sata cable out by accident when fiddling, and i think this may have corrupted something (MBR?).
I have deleted the partition, but cant format the unallocated space, i get a "The format did not complete successfully" error.
Any ideas ?
I tried recovery console and a fixmbr, but can't access the drive it seems - can only manage to get the OS drive to respond, which is fine. Its on a Sil1334 or 1332 controller (have 2 of this model drive, not sure which it is outside of windows - one on each controller).
And it doesnt have a letter anymore, it isnt in my computer, but its in the disk management.
Any help gratefully recieved
