Is anyone else watching this program about the fur trade on BBC 1 at the moment?
The clip with what they do to dogs in China made me sick to my stomach. I knew this went on, but each time I see it, it still shocks me.
I was just wondering, what is everyone elses view on fur?
Personally I've always been against it because I've never seen the need to kill something so needlessly and in most cases in a very cruel way.
I'm not against fake fur, but because fake fur is fashionable it's meaning there is a market for those who wish to, to sell real fur. So, in that sense I'm against it.
It's not even if the fur is being used for clothing because we're pefectly able to clothe ourselves without the need for fur.
Is there anyone who can genuially defend killing something so cruelly just to wear its skin? Is it just blind ignorance?

. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when they showed the footage from China. Even worse where you caught a glimpse of that undercover footage of an Alsatian being skinned alive.
