Haven't been keeping up with much lately, how close are these to the Fury X performance wise?
About 10% slower, not about 10% the performance
lol thx for clearing that up \(`0´)/
Maybe is can regain that 10% if overclocked to 1100MHz+. Which would make it the better choice over the FuryX and maybe even the 980Ti since its cheaper.
Probably 1150/1175+ tbh. These would be a really good card at £400 tbh, let's hope a 980 price drop forces it down!!
Maybe stick those slides in a spoiler tag Kaap? They take more than half of this page.
I'd second this - it's nice to have the info here, but it really fills the page a bit excessively
Yup the majority of the slides could go in spoilers, seeing as it isn't the first time we've seen most of them.
I like the look of that reference card would look nicer without the amd sticker though.
Do you think it will get so hot it will melt the rubber on top?
Yeah the Strix does look a lot nicer than the tri-X with its full length custom pcb and backplate, however the tri-X seems quite a bit quieter (sub 40db in the AnandTech review).
The temps in the thermal images on some of the reviews look rather high (not on the gpu area though), no idea if that would affect overlocking stability or not.
Any word on GPU Tweak getting voltage?
We need voltage and we need it now !!!
My waterblocks have arrived and I will be fitting them soon.
I thought it was in here, but it must of been one of the other threads.
have AMD said anything about the voltage control? like... soon™
Nope, work being done by 3rd parties
kaap is brave then lol
AMD love pushing what they can to third parties, Whether it's a software thing like this or an issue that's down to the components the monitors developers use rather than Free-sync itself they do like to pass the buck and say "Don't blame us".
Probably a case of minimal resources tbh. It's their version of 'Big Society'
As is the norm for both companies.
Funny how this is suddenly such a huge issue. Also funny how people miraculously stopped caring about heat once their 980Tis started catching fire.
