The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Well I have popped in to the GTX 980Ti owners thread and had a good read of most of it and you do not see anyone in there from this thread openly ****ging off the 980Ti. This thread is rife with 980Ti owners ****ging off the Fury X.

This is NOT what this thread is supposed to be used for. I certainly would prefer only 2 pages if it was just Fury X owners or prospective buyers (Like Me) sharing tips and configs etc... The Poison coming from the Nvidia crowd is really starting to get on peoples nerves now.

I guess that's what happens when your insecure though (Fast Car, small dick syndrome)

Hmmm that's wierd...I can say dick and not get censored but I cant say s-l-agging off without getting censored. LOL

You know what the funniest thing is though.....the threads in there talking about the coil whine and heat throttling on some of their 980Ti cards......Hows that for Hypocracy. Priceless :D

The benchmarks show that both the 980Ti & Fury both out-perform each other in different games so to be totally honest they both are super cards in there own right.

Would I pick NVidia over AMD , Nope for the simple fact AMD Cards have always produced what I want from a top end card and they have never let me down to this day.

It just shows that those with AMD cards and prospective owners are more civil :D

Alternatively it shows how strong the Ti is, not really much to moan about with that card.

People are in here discussing all sorts because a)there are some issues b)only about 4 people own one and 6 of those have whinegate c)there is no stock so nothing really to discuss.

When voltage unlocking is possible, if the FuryX can be overclocked significantly, lets say 1300 on the core, and it decimates the 980ti, will you then cite how the FuryX is a strong card?

A wobbly start for the FuryX, like most of AMD top end gpu's, but they always mature and eventually take the lead over their Nvidia equivalent. At such an early point and at 4k, the FuryX is trading blows with the TX.

Yet more irony :)

The Fury is already a strong card, its just not upto par with nVidia offerings at the moment. I am hopeful of improvements with drivers and DX12/Windows 10.

Cant see the issue with discussing the relatives pros and cons of the Fury X.

Most review sites are exactly the same.
Nvidia supporters go out of there way to make AMD look bad.

Personally I am not sure why any consumer would want to associate themselves with that sort of behavior.
It is the very reason I buy AMD.

No. AMD have made themselves look stupid.

Not sure if serious?

Very serious.

As are all the 700 series owners who are very angry and upset that theiotr GPU's are now legacy and no longer optimized how they should be.

No wonder Fury pre-order sales are through the roof.
Real passionate PC gamers have had enough of Nvidia.

A bit offtopic, but as people are talking about Mantle, I'd like to point out that DICE's implementation wasn't actually that bad. WDDM 1.1 and 1.3 was never designed to do it's job well with low level api. That's one of the biggest problems they had with memory management. WDDM 2.0 solves all those problems.

Good reminder:

Lot of other threads he can post in then, he can make his own one.
If you dont own or have no intention to buy a Fury why are mods letting him post here then? afraid he become upset as he might be a customer?
I ask for a suspension as its called derailing, off topic and its plain obvious he done it time and time again, so a 2 month suspension wouldnt hurt him.

People have a right to post whether you agree with them or not, calling for suspension just because you don't like something is poor form imo. :(

looking forward to getting mine delivered this Saturday at the latest, also January next year getting a OR VR which uses amds latest technology to the full, also will go nice with my Samsung 4K screen https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-217-SA&groupid=17&catid=948 , wil be getting another Fury to go with soon as they relase the x2 edition, 4K goodness which BTW kicks ass at the current drivers and there in there in infancy at the moment.

hopefully Nvidia will bring out a New Tech card like AMD has would be a challenge for them :-)

As somebody who owns both a Fury X & 980ti (waiting on a refund) part of the reason is less has gone wrong with the 980ti on average. :p

My tinnitus simulator lasted about 20 seconds in my case before letting out a huge sigh & saying out-loud at home "FFS AMD...."

For some reason DP is in here spewing his usual anti-AMD guff, it has just degenerated into yet another anti-AMD hate thread.

That's not what an owners thread should be.

This thread turned into a general discussion of FuryX. My posts are no more off topic than any of the others.

I admit they are off topic, but then this thread would be nothing more than people moaning about pump wine which I don't see the big fuss about because AMD will clearly resolve that. What is more interesting is the pos and cons of the architectural and design differences which are fixed for the life of the card.

You are the biggest fanboy on the forum, perhaps a title shared with shanky.

I admit my posts in here are off topic, if you want I can start going on about pump wine like all the owners.
