The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

I did try one when commentating for Team GB in Cambridge but didn't game on one as it was all about the overclocking.

shame you didnt get chance gregg, i have the samsung 34" and really like it for gaming, i play a lot of cs go and no problems with response or lag, if anything my cs go skills have improved not that i was that good to start with

I certainly will, as even with just a background pic they look good. I can't remember the make I was using but it was one of those curved UWS screens but I wasn't really paying attention to that and was reporting the competition between the Team GB guys (which was awesome).

If any of you are going to I55, bring it so I can have a play please :D

Some impressive results for sure.

You gotto love a benchmark site that does overclocked GPU's 4 way and then uses a stock CPU, no AA on any of them either. ;)

Some weird stuff in there as well like a stock 980Ti faster than a stock TX, but that aside the xfire results clearly show AMD don't have a driver issue at lower resolutions, there is something else wrong with the card.As you increase the resolution the GPU has to do more work in pixel shaders, TMus, Rasterizers etc, so if there was a driver issue it becomes less prevalent. But iN crossfire as you add GPU the amount of driver work increases and the amount of GPU work decreases. Since Crossfire scales so well with the FuryX we can put aside the driver myth.

FuryX2 could be the card of choice for 4K gamers.

Gregster, could you test Grid Autosport with new drivers. (Video showing new and old drivers would be great!) These have reduced cpu overhead compared to 15.15 drivers you used before. Should show nice upgrade in fps, as that game was heavily cpu bound. Thanks.

Sure will bud. I assume I can use the new drivers for my windows 8.1 system?

Yes they are official drivers released today.

Sweet and that will be done as soon as I finish work at 2pm tomorrow :) Looking forward to trying these out and I have just done a comparison on PCars, so will be good to see the difference between drivers

Here's an interesting post on a German forum where an AMD whiner got so furious that he dismantled his card. ;)

It does seem that the noise is caused by a combination of coil resonance, badly applied glue and component contact with the pump cover.

Google Translation

He also upload a video which demonstrates how the pump cover actually acts as an acoustic amplifier.

A simple solution might be to insert some soft dampening material between the pump cover and pump.

Toms hardware and other users tried that already makes almost no difference. The main problem as has been said is inside and is to do with the adhesive.

Got my fury boxed ready to be picked up tomorrow..:(..Meanwhile in germany.
