Disappointing eh, I just looked and I only have 560 quid saved so far, In a way that's good though as if I had more I'd probably bite and I don't wanna. Of course if Overclockers are reading this and want to let me have one for that JUST HOLLA.How long does ocUK staff need to realise that no one is buying Fury x at prices they are selling? I would understand the need to push the prices up if you had huge demand and quite a few cards to shift. But now you get 5 of them, push the price to skyhigh and sit there pretty with that stock in warehouse, while people who want them will not spend such money for them? Initial push ended long ago, why keep the prices so high? What are they 50quid more than normal? Times 5 you get £250 extra. That's nothing. Gibbo won't even feel it when he is paying for his next car adventure in his signature :/
Wtf, superflower 1600w PSU wants me to connect two separate cords from PSU to VGA, since it does not have 2x8pin cable, only 1x8pin, 1x6pin cords. How come seasonic 1250w PSU manages to provide single cord with 2x8pin connectors. So now in order to power my 2 Fury x I have to run 4 separate cords instead of 2. And when I'll get 3rd Fury x I'll have to run 6 cords altogether.
Having said that I prefer using 2 separate leads for each card as it is safer and less stressful on the PSUs.
But PSU comes with single rail anyway. Also I do believe seasonic knows what they are doing when they package their PSUs
Back on topic: I noticed competitor is listing some Fury x pre order with 1000mhz HBM speed. I mean ocUK you have been outclassed since your competition is getting second gen Fury x with second gen hbm and for the same prices as you. Come on shape up )))
So it's been a while now since release how are people liking this card?
I haven't had much time to keep up with this thread recently and will be upgrading to a new X99/Win 10 system in the next two weeks. What's the outlook for Fury cards at the moment - are they showing any noticeable gains with Windows 10 / DirectX 12 so far?
I'm currently leaning on going for a Geforce GTX 980 Ti atm but could be swayed if Fury was showing improved DX12 performance. Availability still seems dire as well. The last nVidia card I had was the original Geforce DDR back in the day lol. Is there any hope for a red leaning gamer? As one draws nearer to pulling the payment trigger the 980 Ti still looks like a much better prospect
Thanks for the benchmarks, looking forward to when AB or Trixx is updated to allow easy voltage controljust like to post a update of what iv got so far in 3dmark, now with 2x fury x cf
fire strike http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/8002950 clock for clock fs still does not scale well performing worse with higher core and seems to prefer higher hbm still think early drivers are to blame.
sky diver http://www.3dmark.com/sd/3238779 skydiver scaling really well to core clock.
these were done on the stock aio coolers for the cards, custom water loop for the cpu.
more to come
Someones bought the last card they had, another long wait coming up then
I moght get another elsewhere, then when this one turns up, Xfire
