The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Hilariously some of AMD's latest GPU's (The 380/370 etc) don't either :p
It's bad form when you're releasing GPU's in Q3 2015 that don't support a feature you announced in Q1 2014 :p

why dont you check your facts before posting?
to lazy?
hired by nvidia to spread fud?
learn to google before posting or dont you know how?

All AMD Radeon™ graphics cards in the AMD Radeon™ HD 7000, HD 8000, R7 or R9 Series will support AMD FreeSync™ technology for video playback and power-saving purposes. The AMD Radeon™ R9 295X2, 290X, R9 290, R9 285, R7 260X and R7 260 GPUs additionally feature updated display controllers that will support dynamic refresh rates during gaming

No one on this forum is paid/hired by nvidia to spread bad press about the fury x. Anyone that thinks such a practice go's on is deluded. Personally i think its a good card, sure it has its issues like any brand new product. Yes i do own an nvidia card myself, but i admire and respect what AMD have done, a cool running card. (albeit on an AIO cooler). They have brought the first iteration of HBM memory to the consumer gpu market. It is priced pretty good, personally i hope it is something AMD can build on. As i always say, we need two good players in the gpu market. I do not want to see things going the way of the cpu market.

Fanboyism is silly, I'll be going back to nvidia next year if amd doesnt really sort themselves out, still waiting for my 'overclockers dream card', what I got is something thats good in small form factor and 4K and not a lot else.

Ok then why do they feel the need to haunt pretty much every AMD thread telling people how inferior the products are???

Dont say it does not happen because it does, its obvious for anyone reading these forums that it happens. Just reading through pages in this thread its apparent its the same Nvidia fanboys trolling needlessly time and time again and its pretty much every AMD based thread.

So its either these people constantly trolling as i stated previously, or they are deluded enough to think people care about their opinion.

And yet Gregster posted a DX12 thread, everyone was talking about DX12 and the first person to start on the "AMD vs. Nvidia" stuff was Humbug, a die hard AMD supporter

both sides are as bad as each other

and before anyone starts in on me again, I have ordered a FuryX to have a play with

They don't support Freesync for gaming. That's a fact, not fud. That's why people buy into it.
This makes my statement accurate. AMD have released GPU's in Q3 2015 that don't support something announced in Q1 2014.

For Video playback, yeah sure (Although is this even working? I've not seen anyone mention it at all, like ever)
Take your deluded fanboyism, and go elsewhere.

Thats because all of the owners have already posted, and no one will buy the ones that are about, due to their pricing, so theres nothing to talk about now in this thread. :(

A mod should just change the topic to "general Fury X thread" since there are so few owners anyway and I'm getting sick of people ruining interesting discussions with "it's an owners thread please leave". :p

just like to post a update of what iv got so far in 3dmark, now with 2x fury x cf

fire strike http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/8002950 clock for clock fs still does not scale well performing worse with higher core and seems to prefer higher hbm still think early drivers are to blame.

sky diver http://www.3dmark.com/sd/3238779 skydiver scaling really well to core clock.

these were done on the stock aio coolers for the cards, custom water loop for the cpu.

more to come

How long does ocUK staff need to realise that no one is buying Fury x at prices they are selling? I would understand the need to push the prices up if you had huge demand and quite a few cards to shift. But now you get 5 of them, push the price to skyhigh and sit there pretty with that stock in warehouse, while people who want them will not spend such money for them? Initial push ended long ago, why keep the prices so high? What are they 50quid more than normal? Times 5 you get £250 extra. That's nothing. Gibbo won't even feel it when he is paying for his next car adventure in his signature :/

They are selling because two of the Asus have sold.
