The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

22% behind that, will have to see how much i can catch up on stock voltage. Over the weekend i will crank things up and unlock my cpu. Gpu usage was not always pegged at 99% during testing so i suspect i can get a few percent from knocking the cpu up to 4.9Ghz. Crazy when you think you need so much cpu power to drive these things.

Maybe 22% behind but nearly half the price :)

Really don't know what to think of the reviews now that people are getting a different experience from the reviewers with things such as coil whine and performance. May have to retract my comments about AMD, as it was said with frustration regarding their products falling behind Nvidia again. I really hope that I am wrong about what I said and that the owners reviews in this thread tell a different experience on the Fury.

Same here, im  for sure, 1440p few reviews have it on par with the Ti, beating it, others are saying its basically crap, struggling to beat the 290X, Tis ahead of it by a country mile.

Here's my build so far and results from FS.

Clean and tidy PC, nice results, well done!

What really could save this launch is the fury pro review and a better driver. As you say the reviews are all over the place but when the pro releases they have a second chance as the Fury x should be included.

This is my concern also, however I'm going to wait for a few things now, firstly a few owners reviews especially at 1440p, AMD to release some drivers specifically aimed at improving the cards performance (doesn't need to be huge either) and some honest info on power consumption, and likelihood of CPU bottlenecking and lastly something to unlock it's overclocking potential.

I have a 1000w superflower plat rated psu and a z87 with 4770k, my original plan was to buy either the furyx2 or 2 FuryX cards and run a 1440p screen potentially vsr to 4k once dx12 landed, but I want to know if I need to upgrade psu and CPU / mobo to make the most use from it

Interested to see some 1440p benchmarks and can you scale 4k on a 1440p panel? If so would like to see that also :)

Was adamant yesterday I wouldn't touch this card, however today and this evening after looking at some 1440 scores I'm having a change of heart, not only considering one but now considering 2. Got room in my Enthoo Primo for them, but would I need to upgrade from my z87 and 4770k to get the most from 2?

I've been pretty much the same. The card appears to be a slow burner and it's growing on me.

The Titan X looks positively old fashioned next to it in Boom's pics.

Maybe the community will rescue the poor initial launch of the Fury X. Those that have them appear to be speaking highly of them. Opinion could turn around by the time they're in stock.
