So now there's no excuse, more people can try it without needing ping pong balls, all you really need is a bit of A4 paper and a lamp or your computer monitor, im not sure the red colour is really required but i suspect it works better, i tried the simple paper cut out and it had some interesting effects, i didn't listen to noise though so it may not have worked quite as well but i saw whiling colours and my visual space seemed to expand on forever, pretty cool for a first try, will do it again but with noise and a red light next time.

I'd imagine that because you're still conscious you can just choose to end it by yourself. I guess you could lose perception of time but if you're really worried set an alarm or something

I've heard of this before from a friend. Didnt know what it was called though, or even if it was real Sounds like a good night in when you're low on money if it works lol

I tried it, didn't work for me though.
I used red coloured table tennis balls, white noise and did it for half an hour.

tried it just now, toilet roll wrapped round my head, didn't have earphones on, but white noise playing through speakers, but think if anything my pc whirring and clicking didn't help, but either way, bugger all happened :/ quite disappointed
