I haven't been able to play Guild Wars for over a month, curse my evil computer, and the laptop will never be used for GW again, it's just wrong!
What's the summer update like, what sort of stuff did we get?

It's great, Huge new area with quests and new rare weapons, new soundtrack downloadable via Direct Song, all skills now available for purchase when you get to Ember Light Camp. and some other bits and bobs! :)

I'd also just like to add that a people who haven't played for 1 month+ are being removed from the guild to keep places open for active members, however if anyone decides to pick the game up again, just post on the Godless forum (link in sig).

All OcUK members will always be welcome to rejoin!

or whisper ingame:

Sweet Loaf
Ark Redwalar
Fallen Earth
Jhadur Woundmender
Tiny Grasshopper
Liahm Nielssan
Preacher Blood

for a fresh invite :)

When was the summer update? Been out the country for a month, and then had to reformat my PC on my return, as partner and son had managed to kill it! Will be loading GW back on over the weekend.

Can I add to your post sweetloaf.

If you whisper one of us in game tell the person that you whisper that you are from OcUK and not just some random person saying hello. All of the officers will welcome new members and will add you if you post on the guild forum but if you whisper in game id say only Jadhur, sweetloaf and myself would be familiar with OcUK some of the others might not be.

We have a new Guild Hall

The Guild Officers and myself recently had a discussion regarding the current GvG situation, it was decided that a new Guild Hall should be purchased..so that's what we have done, the Warriors Hall was a little too common, so we decided to try and get to grips with an new hall

We now live in The Druids Hall so all start growing beards and worshipping the moon or somesuch lunacy!

Sandals are preffered, please leave your muddy boots at the door!

Enjoy! here it is!

Layout
The Druid's Isle is oddly shaped, with a looping backwards s shaped main pathway, oddly connected side pathways, vine bridges that create additional entrances, and a large bulbous center area.

Leaving from your main entrance, you have two choices: A straight run into the center, or to wade around the side to get to the other side of the center. The second is generally unused: It is long, and while it can be put to work as a flanking manuver, often by the time you have run the gauntlet the battle is done.

The center area is a small pond that you can wade through: While you're in it, you gain +1 Health regeneration, like in areas of the Magumaa Jungle (In fact, the spell is the same). In the center of the pond is an island, with a large flag pole and the Tower Flag Stand. Note that while you can run through the center of the flag pole, the spikes that anchor it and the flag stand are both unpassable. It is fairly easy to get stuck on either.

NPC's are scarce: Two archers atop the entrance, one near the shrine, one on the slope in back and the Guild Lord's entourage are all.

This map starts with a Vine Seed in each base. Pick it up and drop it near a glowing circle to create a vine bridge. These bridges allow easy access into or out of a base.

Strategy
Not many guilds have this hall, so it is often overlooked in strategies. One way to get an easy win is to grab the seed early on, plant it and immediately rush the opponents guild lord. There is little that can be done to counter this if the opponent is already in the middle when you attack.

If you prefer the long game. it is best to try and keep the enemy bottled in their base by holding the area right outside their main entrance. They start with only one entrance, and the main path is fairly narrow and hard to get past. The other path is worse, and can easily be defended by one warrior hanging back in the middle. Let the opponent come to you, and your morale build.

Jungle theme, looks like the Maguuma Jungle
Vine Seeds can be used to build Vine Bridges
(Note: The vine seed spawns in each base. If you drop it, it will cause a knockdown effect on the enemy.)

Please note that this info is taken from www.guildwiki.org and there may be more NPCs around since the update!

Yup, ironically only one was fought at our new hall, the others were away matches :D

We rose the ranks from 4800th to 2800th last night, not too bad considering there are 18000+ guilds out there
