The Golf Club

This has now been released on Steam as an early access game (beta). A must purchase for me being a golfing nut!! So far so good, just getting used to the controller settings. Will report back after a few more rounds....

Is controller the only way to play or is there KB/mouse controls? This is £22.94 on steam at the most, tempted!

Any MP modes available yet Coupe? Be cool to get some forum tourneys going.

Im a huge golf game player, could u tell me how the swing works with the controller please.

Decided to give this a try, it's obviously a bit limited and the graphics can be a bit glitchy currently as it's an early beta, but it shows quite some promise. Using the XB controller isn't too bad (I'd still prefer mouse control and hope they do implement it).

The course designer looks very interesting, seems you can either pick some variables and let the computer randomly generate a course, then tweak it as much as you want. Or you can start from scratch and build a course hole by hole, adding hazards, contouring the fairway, etc as you go along. Looks like it could be really rewarding if you put the time and effort into it.
 
If they allow the courses for open download (Cant see why they wouldnt) then this will make for a great content booster. Worst thing for me in TW was the courses went stale.

The facility to publish your created courses for anyone to use is already included, so plenty of course content to go at already, just not much in the way of competitions currently. :)
 
By "early access" does that mean you are getting an advanced beta version and, if so, does the price include upgrade to the full retail release version?

This game is currently in Beta, and is available as early access on Steam. It is still very polished and shows great promise. The devs are listening to players and implementing changes frequently :)


Perfectly sums up my experiences with this game.

:D This game is amazing. If you liked Tiger Woods PGA tour XX or pretty much any other golf game this really is the next step. Fluid game mechanics and control, integral social gaming culminating in a difficult but rewarding golf experience.

Recommended to me by tonyTurbo78 and josh86 on here... this game will take over my life... my hole in one on Pinehurst River tee 6 will forever live in my memory :D
