Well done Crispy, I couldn't be arsed to create a thread about it, glad someone did!

So far massively enjoying the game, it is hard enough to keep me interested and looks beautiful. Right know it needs a few tweeks to make it more optimised for PC but according to the devs it is coming.

Had a massive patch last night which gave the game some more polish and it looks great. The dev team are actually listening to the players and taking on board the improvements and in a lot of cases implementing them!

If anyone wants a game add me on steam, maybe get a list that the OP can update with players Crispy/Buster? - Steam name J0SH86.

Seriously considering this game. I've been waiting for a decent golf game since Links 2003.

Does it have an old school 3 click option??
 
Pretty tempted by this tbh, not played a golf game in a long while but this looks really good.

I saw on youtube that you can create your own tour on various course etc, would be pretty cool to have a OCUK tour to test our skills :D
 
I do like a good golf game so just bought this. Thanks for the reminder about this game OP as I'd forgotten about it.
 
Very tempted for this but not usually overly enamoured with pre-release games!

How does the swing system work - is it the traditional 3 click basis or is there a TW-style mouse-swipe??
 
From what I can see there's no 3 click. using the mouse is a bit of a test when putting, more so than any other club.
 
They don't have a 3 click system and the devs have said they won't add one in.

There is no character progression and skills upgrades etc, the games in based purley on the skill (in my case lack thereof) of the player!

It's an incredible game, already showing huge potential. It's been a long time coming getting a true golf game without all this extra fluff crap ie +10 power pants, landing circles etc. This could be the greatest golf game to date.

It doesn't have 3 click but it does have mouse and keyboard, and you can also use a controller which works the same way as it does in Tiger Woods series. I've actually been talking in PM to a few people from team, can't divulge names, but rest assured, the future is epic on this one. The course creator is fantastic, think there's already been over 600 courses created, and they are truly amazing. The update yesterday has just included an even more comprehensive creation tool called Greg Norman Golf Creator which is heads above anything seen, and a whole host of menu polish and improvements to the game.

The team also are caring about cheats. They have something in place to rule out (pun intended ;) the straight edge cheats on mouse and keyboard and the controller modders which will make things really interesting.

There are already tours being played over a 12 week season, with Tour Cards, different tours being implemented.

The visuals are just stunning. The audio, commentary in particular is fantastic with good humour and its so up to date. You can actually play in a group, but if a few people get left behind due to speed, when your on one hole, you can actually see their balls fly on the other holes, and hear the splash when they pop in the water (Josh), or the hole out sound when your on the next tee and they finish off the green previously. Honestly, its all the little things. Loads of wildlife on the course, feels very atmospheric.

£16 for this is a no brainer, going to be epic golfers.

Great game. Once I switched to a joy pad I managed to get better with the hitting, though +21 for my first round begs to differ.

You know what game this reminds me of? My favourite ever golf game that you younger viewers may not remember, Links 386 pro.

Can we download peoples designed courses somehow that I am not seeing?
 
Looks good. Are there online and single player tournaments?

I have not played a golf game since Everybody's golf ps3 (which is a gem) but this may be worth a swing or two.
