Messi for me, just a joy to watch. I dont buy this 'Ronaldo challenged himself in multiple leagues' stuff either, hardly a challenge to go to the most dominate team in a league and post silly numbers still is it.
 
I honestly don't care that much about this "testing yourself in different leagues" stuff. Messi at his peak was absolutely sublime to watch. Ronaldo was clinical and a machine but there wasn't the joy in watching him.

Messi = Federer
Ronaldo = Djokovic

Different players, different teams, different styles. Still posted a pretty respectable g/a for the season.

Suppose it boils down to what you prefer to watch, the quintessential team player in Messi or the selfish, all about me player in Ronaldo.
