The Green wing

I love scrubs, but you have to watch a whole series of it to get as many laugh out loud moments as there are in one or two episodes of Green Wing.

Can't wait for the new series. It's a lot better for me as I know Northwick Park hospital very well from doing clinical attachments there. Seeing a motorbike being ridden round the corridors and a camel were magical moments. They make it look so nice on the TV too!

You really need to follow a season of Scrubs then to understand the deeper meanings behind each episode, the running stories through the past 4 seasons have been great. It's not just a slapstick comedy as many people who have only seen a few episodes here and there think.

A lot of episodes are a lot darker and have morals behind them.

And there's always that episode in season 3 which was voted the greatest TV episode of anything ever, too.

Far from mindless. :)

I know mate, I watch it, my wife watches it, I enjoy it, I think its funny but its not AS funny as the series I have cited for the reasons I have cited.

To be honest being voted best anything by Americans is not (in my opinion) a good indicaton of something being 'quality'

fantastic comedy, too many great moments to pick a fave but dr Statham smacking his head off the desk to avoid getting hit by the handbag has got to be up there.. classic slapstick.

I just don't get it, it swings from the hilarious, to the surreal, to the downright unfunny, but it's generally more of the latter for me.

The only problem is that this, Hustle and anything else of quality will all finish together leaving a void filled by some rubbish and/or a repeat of some rubbish.

Also, some US series are good, but sometimes the accent gets a bit tedious.

Sorry to go against the grain.

I normally embrace alternative comedy like it's a long-lost child. Series such as 15 Stories High, The Mighty Boosh, Time Gentlemen Please, Spaced etc. I absolutely adore, can't get enough. But for some reason, I find Green Wing about as funny as stubbing my toe, and possibly more painful. I think the main reason is probably the actors - Sarah Alexander is hot but fundamentally one-dimensional, the girl from Black Books annoys me (although tolerable in that), and the tall guy with the long hair is a bore in everything I've ever seen him in. Even the hilarious Mark Heap whom I class as a comedy genius is a little cringe-worthy in this. My apologies, I tried, but it just fails to make me laugh.

That aside, the visual and sound editing is first rate though!

Just tuned into tonights "comedy".

I tried to give it a go again and it's just not funny.

Man drawing breasts on an x-ray :o

Making Towers out of biscuits ?

Man thrusting towards random nurses? ????

 it confuses me how this got a second series

I love it.

Just watching it now and when the woman dived across the table and demolished the tower of chocolate, it had me burst out laughing :p

The skatty doctor: "Be mine!" while he thrusts towards a nurse. :D

That was an excellent episode. I literally laughed out loud loads of times. Am chuffed it has carried on from where it left off.
