The Greys...

People are very sugestible and plug holes in their lives with convenient fiction. It has become a bit outmoded to look to the heavens and see god (also a construct of the media and human insecurity - albeit very ancient media) so they now look to the heavens and see almond shaped eyes staring back.
 
I seem to remember reading/watching something that explained why the grey is the image most people have of an alien. It's because design was used on a cover of a book or something like that many years ago and it stuck.

It's not unlike frogs. The ribbit ribbit sound we all associate with frogs is only produced by 1 breed of frogs that just happen to live in California and was constantly sampled for films where some wild life ambient sounds were needed.

Aliens exit = yes I truly believe they do
Aliens visit earth and are sometimes the classic grey type = No Swearing!!

Human beings aren't logical. On one side, the world believes in old tales based on books written centuries ago, about a man that died and came back to life.

But then the same people refuse to believe and heckle those that believe in aliens and abduction and stuff.

Both are equally idiotic.

Why would they even want to abduct human subjects in the first place ? and if they did then surely why not wipe any memory of that happening ?

I believe in aliens, I just don't think they are visiting us.

I think a race advanced enough to fly millions of miles must have a good reason, I don't think abducting people and probing them is really that purposeful, but who knows, I like to think I am advanced but still enjoy putting thing in girls bums.

How do you know they harvest humans for energy? Oh wait you don't - you read it on some basement dwelling, mother loving, tinfoil hat wearing freaks blog.

It’s common knowledge that the greys are just us from the parallel universe.... starts new theory and waits for resident nutters to confirm.

You seem to presume that they are mutually exclusive, people who have religious experiences are called nutters by many in precisely the same way as those who claim to have been have had an alien experience are. Not necessarily by the same people admittedly but there is definitely some crossover.

I tend to favour the view that the greatest evidence in favour of intelligent extra-terrestrial life is that they haven't made themselves known to us.
