Yeah, do 0mv first and see how far you get, only add mv if you get stuck and its not hitting the power limit

I have a 980Ti and at 1920x1080 with 2xMSAA (with TXAA and 2x Reflection AA) it can drop to 50fps in grassy/tree areas.
GTAV can be a killer.
I spent all of yesterday diagnosing why my 980Ti G1 was performing badly compared to the reviews of it - I was getting around 60-70fps which, as the resolution was 1080p, was below my expectations considering the reported fps on many reviews.
I eventually pinned it down to the advanced graphics options that were hammering my CPU (i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz), bottlenecking it for the GPU - turning off/down the advanced graphics options seemed to free up CPU cycles so it doesn't bottleneck the card so much. Now I play at 80-100 fps, still with the CPU at 90%+, so now today's job is seeing if I can push it any further!
Hope this helps you out a bit, it sure took me a long time to troubleshoot. A tip is to watch your GPU usage in afterburner, if that isn't at 80%+ it may be likely that it is being bottlenecked somewhere.
I have the GTX 980 Ti SC ACX with an additional overclock and GTA @ 1440p runs like a dream with everything maxed. averaging around 75fps as I recall.
Of course, G-Sync helps.

Gave FXAA and no MSAA a whirl, GPU usage down to high 80s while hitting 60fps. The times when the fps drops now is when the GPU is still not using full power, so that'll be the CPU bottleneck.
Time to turn off CPU hogs like Skype and so on when I play now then.![]()
@ Mof New cable fixed it straight away.
Cant give links obviously, but it was a Cable Matters DP 2m Gold plated along with a mini dp adapter that came with my graphics card since I only have minidp slots.
Hope you get yours sorted!
Does the EVGA Classified have the copper coloring on it? Cannot see properly in the pictures.

Hi there
Remember guys all these prices go up today at 14:00 !!
No, classified is aluminium, its the kingpin that is the all copper heatsink
Sorry, probably way behind the times here, but are all your 980TI cards going up, if yes how much by? EG the G1 is what, 630, what are oyu looking to take that to?
Presumably, it is just the ones that are currently on offer ''this week''.
I didn't mean the heatsink but i think i found a picture which answered my question, real shame that it has this weird gold color on it.

Hope we get Classified and Hall of Fame reviews soon. Don't get the Strix price, it isn't even a custom pcb...
