1425 boost can mean up to 1550 boost 2, depending on Asic quality and other things. They don't mention it, but who's ever heard of hardwarebbq anywayThats a weak overclock

Are they any pros for the MSI 6G over the Amp Extreme?
they are very similar cards, the only potential pro for the msi over the extreme is noise - the msi has 2 100mm fans, which could be quieter than the three 90mm fans on the extreme, but consequently the extreme could run cooler and overclock higher as it also has a bigger heatsink I think
the only way you would know one way or the other would be to run both... I have an MSI 6G, but if I were buying again now it would be a tough choice to not buy the Extreme to be honest
Yeah that's basically how I see it too. I guess form factor is a pro for the 6G as well considering the Extreme is a complete monster. I was just wondering why the MSI 6G sells so well compared to almost everything else. Brand recognition probably.
Looking for a great 4k IPS monitor at 75hz to justify buying another 980ti...
I know they don't exist but listening to Linus on his Acer XR341CKA review makes me think it will be worth waiting for...another 9-12 months I'm guessing before we see 4K IPS 75hz+
Still loving my 980ti Hybrid
Because there has been a lot less problems with the MSI 6G and it really is quiet, atm I have heard a lot of worrying things about the AMP Extreme with fan noise etc.
Gerard I think you're the only unlucky one
Make sure Chrome is closed, and right click the little icon in the tray for Chrome and tell it not to run in the background.
Couldnt get the core clock down below this. Did a bit of googling (which would've been a good idea before posting ) and it was having the refresh rate at 144hz which was causing the high idle temps
dropped it to 120 hz and the temp is back down in the 30s.
Appears to be a driver issue as Gsync seems to be locked as on.
thanks for the replies
Is every Amp Extreme owner having problems with the fluctuating fan issue? I'm on the checkout page now and I'm having last minute doubts. If it's not this it will be the MSI
6G. Also what does triple slot mean exactly? Slots as in the ones on the back of the case that hold the inputs?

Its on my shortlist for when I return my msi, this oscillating noise is doing my nut
Are the red parts on that airboss card led's or just part of the design?
