they are in SLI... I was half thinking about going SLI with a cheaper card than the MSI and then spotted the Strix on a ridiculously good price so figured why not

You're not being a noob, that is 10mm copper tubing. Just a test fit at the moment as it'll be replaced with chromed copper tubing later.

Anyone know why the Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+ costs LESS than the Superclocked ACX 2.0+ when they have the same clock speeds? If anything the Superclocked+ has a back plate so surely that should cost more? This is not the only website where they are listed in this price order - is the backplate a bad thing?

Lol, it is quite rewarding. Straight copper pipe doesn't bend very well and coiled copper which does bend well is a pain to get straight, unless you use one of these Kwix tools - really good!

Black ops 3 open beta on Steam used 6032MB max vram displayed on GPU-Z after about 10 mins. No bother I guess considering Advanced Warfare was using over 10GB on the Titan X at 1440p

These devs have no shame in these woeful console ports.

At 1080p too. Using 3.5GB to display the splash screen, sorry 970 users (I jest). I would say it's only a beta so things would hopefully be optimised by release, but that's hopeful considering Advanced Warfare was just as ridiculous.

Ah, ok! It wasn't on sale on the other website I saw so I assumed people don't like the backplate (worse temps with heat trapping or something...)

It is going in my HTPC case (was going to get a stock cooler but at that price with the EVGA warranty and a factory overclock I decided to turn up the case fans and roll with the ambient temps!) I have heard the 980 and 980Ti are more efficient than the 780Ti so maybe less heat generated will compensate for less being exhausted...
