The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Queue place means nothing if there are Amazon orders ahead of you apparently.

I'm supposedly now 1st in queue on next batch, but have now ordered elsewhere too. Whichever despatches first is the one I will go with.

Feel pretty let down by OCUK. They shouldnt by tell you your position in queue if it is wrong...
 
So the Fury X has been revealed, selling for $649. What do you guys reckon? jump on one of them or grab a 980Ti if the price drops later this month? The Fury X looks like a real beast, so small as well.
 
Hi all, had mine running at stock under custom water for a few days now and am keen to start clocking. A few questions:

  1. What core and memory clocks is everyone seeing? What are the ranges (normal vs exceptional)
  2. Is it worth upgrading the bios (MSI Reference here)
  3. What should I expect in firestrike normal?

We still haven't seen any benchmarks so it's impossible to say.

If it's about the same performance as the 980ti then I'll just keep it (my 980ti G1 is coming tomorrow)

But if it's a lot better than I may get a Fury X instead.
 
Best to wait tbh, the presentation didn't give any indication of performance. Reviews from the usual sites are what you should wait for before making any decisions.

WAIT FOR REVIEWS, don't get carried away with the hype atm.

If Fury turns out to be a similar speed to 980Ti then who is going to buy a 4GB card over a 6GB one at $650?

If memory bandwith was the limitation in my games then HBM would be great. But it isn't which can be seen my memory overclocking and downclocking. It has hardly any performance hit. If the FuryX doesn't kill the 980ti.. then Nvidia just killed AMD. HBM2 will be out for pascal so that will be interesting.
 
Ordered my 3rd MSI GTX 980Ti to run 3 way SLi again.... I can't help it, I have done so since 2009 permanently and it just looks wrong with only 2 cards in the PC :D
 
Hell yeah, my 980Ti G1 got dispatched today so should get it by tomorrow morning hopefully. I've just took 2 days off work aswell so epic bench/game time :D

Im with you I will play about with my g1 and see what AMD has to offer
 
Well, more details about amd release and prices... Still not caring... :D

Now if I could get work to stop over loading me so I had some time for games !!!
