The GTX Titan X owners thread.

It is all good bud and the debt bit was a joke but I would be in debt to the wife, so not sure what would be best case scenario...

Edit:

I am very jelly of that build Blackbadger.

So would I see a big enough improvement over my faithful 8800GTX..

Thats kinda like a troll post, but seriously the 8800GTX was the mutts nuts when I got it, And it felt like a massive step up.

Obviously I don't change my cards that often so would I get a decent amount of life out of one

I had a BFG 8800GTX then moved to 2xGTX580s-2xGTX680s-2xR9-290s-2xGTX970s awaiting one Titan X for now.

I'm currently running 4K so I think you should be fine and see a nice boost :)

One of members posted these elsewhere. It's not me.
I think he currently has the fastest PC on the planet.

Jelly

:D Fair play..

:o

Funny you guys should mention 8800 series.

I remember the days of 8800GTX SLI... I had 2x BFG cards too :D

Having just posted my 980SLI to JediFragger... I'm back to using a battered 8800GT until my Titan X arrives... 25-45 FPS in BF4 at 1280x720 with everything on lowwwwww... paiiiinful. And that's with the core overclocked to a staggering 700Mhz, lol

Good job I'm away for 2 of the 3 weeks it will take to get my card...

Look what I found... (Kaapstad I think this should be added)

In COD:AW and Crysis 3 the Titan X OCed is running circles around both GTX970 SLI and GTX980 SLI @ 4K.

Amazing

Edited : Digital Foundry video of GTX980 SLI vs GTX970 SLI vs Titan X ...

Looking at your sig and crossfire 7970s (250w per card, 300w if GHz) you should be fine.

A good 850-1000W should do the job. I would lean towards a 1KW.

Titan X is 250w TDP and benches show ~508w to run 2 in SLI non OCed.

From Guru 3D Review :

System in IDLE = 90 Watts
System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 334 Watts
Difference (GPU load) = 244 Watts
Add average IDLE wattage ~10 Watts
Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 254 Watts

Cheers, both ghz editions at stock clocks and the psu has been solid. After the recent AMD driver debacle I'm about to take the plunge get and two new cards and a gsync monitor.

Remove that quick bud, that got me suspended :(

JUST STOP IT :p

Wow!!! and that game ran seriously well on my old Titans but not so on my 290X :(

Just look at those frames for the X.... Neil, look :D

The games shown by digital foundry have audible swearies in them unfortunately. Extremely impressive performance for the TX in that video though.

Greg gave me a quick warning (he got suspended for that exact video) so I edited.

COD:AW is one of the games I play quite a bit and Crysis 3 running better than GTX980 SLI is stunning

To all who have ordered the TX, don't forget to take a pic of it in your rig with your name and then Kaap will kindly add us all to the honours roll. He is a good man that Kaap (even if he is a little greedy in the GPU department) :D
