A 3960x at stock....

Not really old, but running it at stock? They could have at least overclocked it to ensure CPU bottlenecks are limited.

I have a 3930K there wouldn't be that much of a difference @ 4K (maybe +-5fps) other than synthetics.

I'm not much enjoying using an 8800GT for the time being, lol... although, for a 7-8 year old card... it's performing admirably in BF4 at 720p... still beats out an Xbox 360, haha

No I always had the money saved up for it, it's taken a week to justify it to myself and then I thought why not. You only live once.

*edit* was also getting fed up waiting for crossfire profiles for new games

I got the Gigabyte for an extra 19 bucks on top of the OCUK version.

Gigabyte and Asus are available for today or tomorrow.
