Shall be ordering one tomorrow for next day delivery.

ROG Swift on route as well!

You hate the benq that much ?

I would have sat tight for a bit at least...new driver for your 295x2 ....new monitors on the way....mark my words...when the new IPS versions hit both freesync and Gsync....the mm will be peppered with swifts !!!! :D

Don't want to go off topic but the smoothness when gsync is enabled has to be seen and felt.
I run my Swift at 120hz and it just 'feels' much better than 60hz and it is so smooth even if the frames drop down to say 40. It's hard to explain, you really need to see it in action to appreciate it.

I have never seen a 120/144hz monitor and don't want to till I see a UHD G-sync+Freesync IPS 120/144hz monitor be released! This is what I think needs to arrive to tick all boxes, would be okay spending £1000 on one of these if it was 32"

Until then I will have to stick with my 1440p 60hz monitor :(

I don't hate it no, just I can't be dealing with waiting for stuff from AMD, haven't a clue when in April the crossfire drivers are coming.

IPS has its downsides remember, particularly glow and the IPS panels might have higher response times and more blur than the TN.

Much as I love my 295x2|290x Crossfire setup, it hasn't been playing terribly nice for me recently and it's not a fault with the cards (which I can't fault) but may be down to drivers/Eyefinity.

My setup is this:

27" AOC 2770 PQU (1440p) - Primary desktop - Connected via DisplayPort
58" Panasonic AX802B (2160p) - Main screen whilst gaming

Because I use HDMI audio from the PC, the system always detects my A/V Receiver as a 1080p display, thanks to something called ARC (audio return channel) which passthrough the signal to the TV (and vice versa). I believe this is what is causing me the headache.

Eyefinity setup:

1) Often if the TV/Receiver are powered on after the PC has booted up it'll give me this warning

HDMItoDVI_notification.jpg

What this does, is disable my playback device, like so:

Which means I have to restart the PC completely to get audio out of the AV Receiver again. Annoying, but not the end of the World.

2) This is the real deal breaker....Whenever I enable VSYNC in a game, whether it's DX11 or Mantle, the game crashes to desktop. Again I think it's a software issue and might be related to the Eyefinity setup but I've tried to get to the bottom of it and not had much luck. It's not been a huge issue until recently because I tended to play with VSYNC off, but Far Cry 4 does seem to perform much better with Triple Buffered VSYNC enabled.

So, I happen to have a spare PC which is a Mini ITX that I keep in the bedroom. It's still more powerful than most though and has a Haswell 4770k @ 4.5Ghz + Palit Jetstream GTX 980.

So I thought I would test it out on the same screen/AV setup as my Haswell-E AMD system and lo and behold, no issues.

No problems powering the TV/Receiver after the PC. No problems running VSYNC. I actually played Far Cry 4 on it at 2160p/Ultra with Nvidia Gameworks enabled and it was playable (though more in the 30fps area).

Long story short, if the 980GTX works so well then equally the TitanX's should as they have the same connectors on the back (albeit full size DisplayPort instead of mini)

TL : DR
I've ordered 2x Titan X's for SLI at 4k.

Agree with this i also have the ROG Swift and g sync has to been seen to belive how good it really is.

It will impress even at low FPS its a must have if you have nvidia cards that support g sync and will be a perfect match with the titan x ;)

We're all cheesed-off with the **** poor AMD support m8, lots of us selling up and going. Enough is enough, they just don't seem to have the resources to battle nVidia and can't see it getting much better anytime soon (mainly on the games/software front)

I'll have another look in 8/9 months, but until then I'm staying green :D

TFt Central have basically said the Gsync IPS predator beats the swift in everything

Why would I? At least I know the one I'm getting from the guy is near enough new and dead pixel free, plus he'll help with warranty if required.

I would have only ordered one new from OCUK anyway and it was more than £25!

i'd of helped with all of that, it was £540 now £525 but no bother to respond back, £620 on Ocuk again

It's nearly 200 quid more than I've paid for the Swift though, if it comes to it and it really is that much better I can just sell up and get one anyway. As you've probably figured I'm not too fussed about losing cash on hardware :p

Was outside what I wanted to pay, didn't someone offer you £525 for it anyway?
