Well with the new cards released, no doubt quite a few of us have emptied our pockets, myself included, and i await my shiny new Palit GTX275.

Benchies will be at 1920x1200, and fingers crossed, the card will roll in tomorrow. Upgrading from a 4850 1gb which was no slouch and not really a necessary upgrade but its always hard to resist :)

If anyone picks one up today then please lets see what you can get out of it!

Credit to Nvidia for be able to squeeze a card performance wise in between the already amazingly close GTX 260-216 and the GTX 280. This card is purely for people who look a graphs more than play games...

Back on topic, will be interesting to see how it clocks, don't think it will be quite as good as a 260 for clocking (more cores, more heat) but some what better than a 280/285.

It will be closer to the GTX280 than 260 performance-wise, it should only really start to drop off the GTX280 pace at insane settings when the memory comes more heavily into play.

I have a pair of 275's on order for an SLI i7 build so I should be able to report on performance tomorrow or Saturday :)

I know one guy that got to 750core and 1500 shader 2600 memory without breaking a sweat, but he did not run any benchmarks just played a few games i think

Will be interesting to see how these high clocks translate in actual performance. People were getting insane clocks on the 260, like 750MHz core, then when they posted a Vantage score, the GPU score was still over 1000 points lower than my 'slower' clocked 280. But now with the 275, it has the full 240 cores, just slightly less bandwidth; basically 280/285 performance for a smaller resolution I guess :D

Interesting. Last time I benched my overclocked 260 I was beating an awful lot of GTX280 at stock and even some GTX285's.

To be fair, when i get a new card, i bench it to make sure its running properly, and then never bench again, it seemed to me to be a sweet spot in price vs performance.

or people like me who want a £200 ish upgrade from my 8800 GTX

My 260 at max OC's hits 11774 with a dual core. Would be interesting to see how much better the 275 is at similar clocks (734core/1584shader/2488mem) in a similar system. Cobined score is 14300 (held back by the dual core).
