Tonight I volunteered at Girl Guides with a few people from my repair café group. I showed the girls how to rewire a plug. We were given "Thank you" patches in reward. What a wholesome evening!

I love walking in the rain with full goretex waterproofs on. No one about, the sound of rain hitting my hood and remaining completely dry. I used to always use the rain as an excuse not to go out, but now I look forward to it.

I saw a large emerald moth last night, and managed to get it out of the house undamaged.

I thought I might never see one again, so was pretty pleased about that.

Not as fancy as that but a common butterfly (peacock?) fluttered down from the ceiling and into the lift at work. Its right at the top of the building so it must have had a long flight up there. Anyway had a job trying to hold the lift open and cup it into my hands before getting the rooftop door open and letting it go free. My good deed of the week day. Feeling good? Oh yeah.
