So guys, what do i have here? How hot are they and what are they best used for?!

Third from the right looks like one of my apaches, mine are *plenty hot enough, don't taste of much, not really good for eating whole, good to slice and add to pretty much anything, spag bol, pizza, whatever.

Ok guys can I ask here my Naga are coming out now and need to ask as shes only 5" tall can I prume her and let her grow more on the height. or can I wait till they are done and she will keep growing like other plants?

ok no help then from the growers?

Here is what I have currently, it's just a fraction of what I've had over the season though with more to come, these will mostly be used in sauces.

Sad times!

I've sadly been busy lately and not really been watering/feeding mine. They are looking a little worse for wear haha. Too dry to feed so i have them a good water and i'll feed next week sometime.

Butch T's are coming along nicely. one wee one turning colour. My twilight(i think) has LOADS of white fly on it. Plenty basket of fire too.

Very good hall wiiija.

Outside ones are producing chillies but extremely slowly, they're even still flowering. Who knows how many I'll get. The ones under the grow lights are now flowering again, after there massive prune and have regrown and into a better shape. In fact, they could do with pruning again, but not so harsh this time.

My Jalapeno's have gone absolutely mental this year, harvested the lot over the weekend and have filled a tesco shopping bag, going to pickle the lot for chilli's, nacho's, taco's and other mexican food, very happy overall.

I've got 1 1/2 yellow fatalis so far, and a couple of my choc Bhuts are going purpley/brown. 7 pod johnas are still green. Weathers closing in and I've got no where to shelter them, they may have to be harvested green.

Not sure if the right thing, but I've been pinching of my buds (!) so as not to waste energy flowering, let the chillis on the plant come to fruition.

Then to overwinter, I want my purple Twilight to survive! I do have an aphid problem which is doing my head in, trying to move from physical squishing to detergent in a bottle....

I have grown just Pablano's this year, with the view of drying most of them into Ancho's for Chilli-Con-Carne and Texas Chilli. Green house is like a jungle they are more like trees than chilli plants.

I have had problems with humidity though, I was going to dry them on the plant but they just started rotting so I have harvested them.

So I've cut all of mine right back now ready for winter. I have room to keep 3 in the bay window so hopefully they will survive the winter there, I have 3 outside still but no room to move them indoors so I guess I can kiss goodbye to those :(

I'm all ready for next season with various seeds and heated propagator etc.

HELP!!!!

My basket of fire has a fair amount of chillies still on it, which are about 75% ripe, a nice orrange but not quite red, however I have noticed some starting to shrivvel a little.
Should I pick them before I lose them, since the temperature and the sunlight have decreased so much?

EDIT//// I cut them off and frooze them, after a few of the stems around the lighter chillies started to dry up. However I bit into an orange one to see if they were still hot. Bad idea, still if not hotter than the previous crop.
Can anyone tell me how much I need to prune back my plant for the winter???

I know I wont get any ripe chillis as I planted late but I'm looking for some advice. My Naga Jolokia plants have gone mental, I was wondering if it's ok to cut them back because the size is getting ridiculous now. The stem is like a tree, I never thought these would get this big! The leaves look a lot bigger than any I've seen on pictures too.

Yup Nagas are almost like a small shrub rather than a pot plant.

I'll be looking to see what I can do for next year now we've moved into our own home :)

Got 17 Naga's ripening nicely, they all turned in about 2 days of each other which was nice. Glaucus, what drier do you use? I failed miserably drying a load of those Habaneros I posted they all went mouldy. That was using the string method and hanging them up in the kitchen. This was due to lack of ventilation though.
