I dont think you will regret it :) Its shockingly easy to mod because of the neat app out there that does ALL the hard work for you (Wyre Bash). I just followed the instructions in this thread:

...and I honestly did not have a single problem. Within 2 days or so you can have your game looking like those screenshots :)
 
Been playing a few games today:

After abit of messing around with config files, got jedi knight 2: jedi outcast on steam working at 1920x1080 :D

Also had a go on deadspace 2, including the multiplayer which was one of the weirdest experiences I've had in a game. Using a dead mutated baby to kill humans is disgusting and satisfying at the same time!

Also played abit of C&C3 kanes wrath and was impressed by the uni balance and the difficulty of the campaign on medium which I set it to:

I bought command and conquer 3 in the steam sale. Sadly I think I'm going to need to cheat my way through the game as whenever I attempt to destroy a barracks, this happens:

Infinite infantry just pour out faster than I can kill them :(

Does anyone know a "spawn a nuke" cheat? Restarting the game/mission and loading an earlier save in the campaign do nothing.
 
:eek: That looks a bit messed up... :|

Don't know of any cheats but can you get away with NOT destroying the barracks?
Do you have engineers or whatever the c&c3 equivalent is to steal the building without destroying?
 
After an hour of battling away I sorted it. I ignored that base for as long as possible, then wiped it all out in one fell swoop with about 20 bombers.

It was pretty intense though, that spam managed to bring a 4ghz i5 down to 0.7fps :eek:
 
Alpha Protocol

Despite getting some less than stellar reviews and I'll admit some fiddly control I'm actually really enjoying this (maybe the bargain price helped?).
