Those screen shot looks great much better from what I remember, looks more dark and gritty

There have been 3 or 4 fantastic graphics mods released in the last few months. Project reality greatly improves weather and lighting as well as adding loads of dynamic weather settings, and also adds subtle DOF which is great. and NMC's texture pack is brilliant, i only use the medium pack as i wasn't sure my 6950 would handle the large pack(7gb worth) with the increased LOD.
Vurts adds loads of grass and trees, but inkeeping with the lore of the game very well. It looks amazing in play as well.

The only problem is that Project reality makes the nights too dark, but it is a small bug which the author is going to fix with the new version this month

Completed Fallout 3, Vegas and most of the DLC's I can't believe i have never tired mods! I'm surprised project reality made a mod for Fallout remember playing there mod on BF2.

Does the game run smoothly with those mods?

It is not related to the BF2 mod at all, it is just one guy who has reworked the lighting and weather. It hasn't been out long and he is still updating it too.

Yes it generally runs smoothly, except for some slowdowns which i am trying to find the cause of atm. No doubt i have some setting too high which i will need to drop down a bit (but i can't bring myself to:p)

Those mods all work together fine and would cause no problems whatsoever, it's when you start adding other mods athat you get conflicts but you are generrally fine with purely cosmetic mods as these are. (i have about 70 gameplay changing mods running as well)

 70! Might have to re-install Fallout Vegas sometime sounds like I missed out! Glad to hear it runs smoothly and that people are still updating making mods, really enjoyed Fallout was sad to complete the game.

All i can say is that i had a game of Fallout 3 going recently with about 120 mods running and it was great but sometimes very unstable, as i had a lot of mods running together which conflicted with eachother. FO3 was also not very stable to begin with so i put up with a lot of ctd's.
New Vegas on the other hand needs much less work to get to a spectacular level. The modders seem to have put extra effort in to making their mods as compatible as possible and they are much easier to install.

Modding New Vegas is an absolute breeze compared to FO3! I have not had a single crash or freeze or anything in 10 hours so far(compared to FO3 where i probably had dozens of crashes by this point)

DEHR when it runs its great for me when it doesnt it crashes to descktop whish theyd patch the bug with sli cards. think similar shots have been posted but ive not gone far into the game yet.
