IMO, the characters in Skyrim are very goo, especially when modded. The scenery is very good overall, but lacks in up close detail (low poly features, corners of walls are still straight lines without actual bricks). Modded it looks amazing! :)
 
A couple of Rift screen shots I took a few days ago after going in to Gloamwood for the first time, this game looks incredible, the pics do not do it any justice.

Agreed, absolutely gorgeous game, loved Gloamwood. Also thought the 1st instance where you go up into the mountains and get caught in a blizzard was fantastic.:)
 
Overall I'd put Skyrim up there with Crysis in terms of beautiful views, but something that really seems to bug me is how sharply water seems to collide with land. There's no fading of the water at all when it hits the shore - it just seems to be completely solid, and then stop.
