Yeah, BF4 doesn't look as good as I was expecting, just looks like a bumped up version of BF3, and that goes for the game play too. It does look better in motion though.

Mr.Marvelous, do you have an Nvidia card? I'm having difficulties trying to get some of the best mods for Doom 3 working. Apparently, some of them don't work so easily on ATi / AMD graphics cards.

I'm using a 7970 and I had issues with a white screen installing Sikk mod. I did the following and it worked perfectly for me:

AMD users should do to make it work
go to
C:\Users\"your name"\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE
open profile
edit this line
Property name="CatalystAI" value="Enable" />
to this
Property name="CatalystAI" value="Disable" />
thats over save and quit

CCC is what breaks DooM with AMD cards so you have to disable it.

I'm using a mod called Absolute HD, had issues with the merged pack of Wulfen and Sikk.

The best way to get those two working properly is to download each one and not the merged pack like I did, had texture issues like this:

These BF4 shots look like a mixed bag. Some looks amazing while other look worse than BF3. :confused:

Agreed. My initial thoughts (and comments) were that the shots looked ok, or maybe a little better than ok, but some of them now look pretty good to be fair.

Its a great looking game! Much better than the Beta was, the only let down is a few simple textures here and there. But overall, its really nice.

This might not count but it is Open Transport Tycoon, on my tablet. Finally I have something to do on the train that should last me weeks!

When I'm not playing Dead Trigger 2. I can't believe how dangerously close to current gen graphics these sort of games are getting, and this is on a Tegra 3 that is hardly cutting edge anymore! Exciting times...

It's a shame how much aliasing this game have. I'm running on 1440p 2xAA and it is perceptible even during action.
