I didn't realize that was an actual game, I thought it was like a sandbox you could muck about in and make films or whatever.

Pretty much is a sandbox, but it also comes with a few game modes with plenty others to download. It's pretty much got something for everyone.

I didnt realise you had to buy gmod, used to be free right

You could still get gmod 9 I guess, but Gmod goes for like a fiver. Bargain if you ask me.

it is free, though if you want you can buy stuff to help, for example a subscription that gives you more xp, or if you want to buy a premium ship/sailors
