no its not been flawless, you have told me many many times how games you want or have that you no longer play because of no 21:9 support...you aint mugging anyone off but yourself
What games are those?
The only one that I really recall of is ark but it has 21.9 support now.
2014 and the first 1/4 or 1/2 of 2015 had multiple games with 21.9 issues due to how niche it was back then, even support from modders/end users was poor but that has changed now with:
- 21.9 becoming way more popular, even more so than 4k
- if any titles don't have proper support, it has been fixed with ease by clicking one button in flawless widescreen or editing a line or 2 in config files. In 2014/2015, it took longer for fixes and a bit more faff. Lets put it this way, most of us PC/21.9 users have to faff about more often with game settings etc. to avoid bugs and performance issues
SLI/crossfire users have to go through even more faff to get good scaling with no graphical issues and then when you add free/g sync into the mix, even more faffing about
The only game, which I played that required a lot of faff to get 21.9 working was for fallout 4 (had to go through 4 or so config files changing the res. as well as adding a few mods for the power armour HUD etc.)
Most of the 2014/2015 games, which did have issues were fixed long ago too. Going forward, I think 21.9 issues will be a thing of the past, it is just too popular now and all the recent games from big publishers/developers have been made with great 21.9 support right down to the HUD interface.
Either way 21.9 for life for me now, having used 21.9 since 2014, 16.9 looks awful to my eyes now (especially in games where you have no FOV control at all), everything feels/looks so squashed, it feels like going from 16.9 to a 4.3 screen.
it is zoomed a little yeh..
Yup, it is a joke their reasoning for not adding proper support
Some more far cry primal:
