Arc are the old Thief games worth a play? I played Deadly Shadows a while back and absolutely loved it, are the older ones worth a try?

Well, I would certainly say so, yes.
I've played a certain amount of all of the old Thief games, but never completed any of them. I think sometimes I do yearn a little for a combat option / alternative to the near hundred percent stealth game play.....so perhaps that is why I have put them down in the past. Anyway, I would definitely give this a go; the mod will only be updated and refined even further (you will find the odd texture that still needs work), and according to the modder, eventually attention will be directed to the second game, too.
Like many pc gamers, I've played a good many mods in my time, but have to think very hard of an instance where a mod has done so much to rejuvenate a title, let alone one as old as this. That really sold it for me.

What game are they from please? They look amazing
Judging from the grass, I would say Crysis, a custom map.

Wolfenstein looks good. 
Here's some Crysis shots with a few mods thrown in. No doubt there's plenty of mods I missed out on, but I like most of the changes here. The fps is very good most of the time (approx 55 - 85 - X8 AA), until there's a really intense firefight...which brings the numbers down to around 15. :/

It really is a great looking game, i know people go on about the graphics but they look pretty darn good and the gameplay is great and story........... well worth your money imho.
