Is it worth getting? Always hear mixed things about it lol.
Mrk, imho, yes, the graphics are utterly amazing, there's a few tweaks that need to be done, and performance in the star ports isn't amazing, but it's perfectly playable.
The game just has this ability to really make you feel the sense of scale, of awe almost.
It's very difficult to explain for me.
Take for example my first delivery mission to the frozen planet of Lyra.
As I entered the atmosphere the screen on my ship started freezing up, punching through the dense clouds I pinged my destination.
A snow storm of epic proportions was hitting this tiny little mining outpost.
My ships lights barely making it through the thick snow as I came into land, it was only made worse by the fact it was night.
As I shut my ships power down I could hear the wind outside hammering into my little 100i's Hull.
Opening the door my helmet's hud tells me it's -26c. I waddle slowly towards the outposts doors and enter the airlock, finding the button to de pressurise the room before entering.
I can't even begin to explain how cool it was, I had a real sense of dread before entering.
If you've ever watched the original "Thing" it was like that, not the scary side but the feeling of isolation.
I'm absolutely loving it, there's bugs, a pretty steep learning curve, but my god, when it's right..
