***The High-Res Screenshot Thread!***

Is it worth getting? Always hear mixed things about it lol.
The question as to weather or not its worth getting in to is impossible to answer, for some people its one of the best games ever, some people can't get on with it, its also not a finished game, there are bugs.

They have regular free fly sessions, it cost you nothing to try it out for a week or two, they even give you a few ships to use. I would take advantage of that before you buy in. Keep your eye on the Star Citizen thread, someone will post in there when they next one is.

Mrk, imho, yes, the graphics are utterly amazing, there's a few tweaks that need to be done, and performance in the star ports isn't amazing, but it's perfectly playable.
The game just has this ability to really make you feel the sense of scale, of awe almost.
It's very difficult to explain for me.
Take for example my first delivery mission to the frozen planet of Lyra.
As I entered the atmosphere the screen on my ship started freezing up, punching through the dense clouds I pinged my destination.
A snow storm of epic proportions was hitting this tiny little mining outpost.
My ships lights barely making it through the thick snow as I came into land, it was only made worse by the fact it was night.
As I shut my ships power down I could hear the wind outside hammering into my little 100i's Hull.
Opening the door my helmet's hud tells me it's -26c. I waddle slowly towards the outposts doors and enter the airlock, finding the button to de pressurise the room before entering.
I can't even begin to explain how cool it was, I had a real sense of dread before entering.

If you've ever watched the original "Thing" it was like that, not the scary side but the feeling of isolation.

I'm absolutely loving it, there's bugs, a pretty steep learning curve, but my god, when it's right..

The SC ones look stunning, I am really tempted (despite hating unfinished stuff) to dip in tbh (as well as order those two virpil sticks I promised myself for Elite a while back).

@MrMarvelous Is that modded Fo4?

Performance isn't great at star ports, volumetric clouds hammers Performance but dropping that to high has gained me back a fair chuck of fps.
Out in space and on other planets I avg around 100fps with everything maxed, game does like a powerful cpu though too it seems.
There's a few optimisations you can do, but I can't see why you'd not have very playable results especially with the 3090.
