Was trawling Metacritic earlier looking for potential older gems to grab, as is my want, and I'm getting tempted to try out this series. Not really a bit fan of the Splinter Cell games (I only played the first two) so I like the idea that the Hitman games are supposedly a bit more forgiving. Think I might go for the triple pack (last 3 games) as it's under a tenner and supposedly the original game wasn't all that.

Well I've started off with Silent Assassin and have a strange problem whereby it really feels like I'm moving in slow motion. Walking is _REALLY_ slow, like 1 pace every second or so, and running feels like normal walking speed at best compared to most other games. It's not dissimilar to the dream sequences in Max Payne. Occasionally when turning corners it feels like it speeds up a bit.
Is this normal (some kind of game design thing maybe)? I'm inclined to think it is a bug, maybe framerate related (I'm running around 150-400fps) but unfortunately vsync doesn't seem to work in windowed mode (required to get 1680x1050 working), so I can't cap the fps to test. It makes playing... not unbearable, but quite frustrating as to get anywhere more than a few feet away it's boring unless you run, which obviously doesn't help your stealth. Additionally I've noticed that the ragdoll physics seem WAY over the top, I mean if you shoot someone with a 9mm pistol they go flying back 10m or so (same applies to dead bodies)
I know there is a cheat code to enable slow motion, but enabling that doesn't actually appear to have any effect on the walking speed.

When he is in the coffin you have 2 press 2 numbers and he comes alive again and all you have 2 do is MURDER EVERYBODY i loved it
can't remeber the 2 buttons
but when the credit roll you have 2 press em.

but now i saw the Pack of 2 3 and 4 i am deffently gone buy em and replay em
Number 1 is not that good but can be picked up for £5 =]

Congrats on getting there. OT: I've been playing some Hitman 2 on my iMac at work lately, actually works really well.
reading this thread makes me wanna dig out my triple pack of hitman games and install them. shame ive only got a crappy laptop. damn... the carnival map on BM was awesome! shooting the guy in the chicken suit in the back of the head with a magnum and watching the feathers go everywhere, heh. i must have done that a few times and reloaded it when i failed. dunno why.

It's not exactly hidden, that's what you're supposed to do.

I've been playing some Hitman 2 on my iMac at work lately, actually works really well.
I thought Hitman 2 rocked, but its the only game in the series I really enjoyed. The others never held my interest, not even more recent titles like Blood Money.
