The how fast can you type on your phone and which keyboard do you use thread!

Type "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." and time how long it takes. I managed 9 seconds with Thumb Keyboard which is much better than what I could manage with stock Samsung keyboard, HTC_IME and Gungerbread's stock keyboard. The first suggested word prediction based on the previous word feature is a real bonus of Thumb keyboard I find.

I was considering putting this in the Essential apps thread but there are so many keyboards now I thought it deserved its own discussion away from there.

That's nice. However I find Swiftkey faster because it predicts most of my words. There is only so much I can say in a text message so it works great!

On Android, Swiftkey X. On WP7, I can type pretty fast on the standard keyboard.

Overall though, I can type fastest on the iPhone keyboard, but there isn't much in it really. I don't like Swype anymore.

More importantly though, did in in 14" WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE PHONE AT ALL! I tickle that keyboard like Ray Charles! :cool:

You know what? I'm gonna charge up my old Universal just to see how much faster I am on it!

I used to have Swiftkey Beta back in the day, Thumb now though! Although tempted to try Swift again although it's not free and can't be properly tested in under 15 minutes!

8 seconds is impressive for Swype though!

I am just using the stock sense keyboard, seems perfectly good. I did use swiftkey on my previous mobile though.

May give the stock ICS keyboard a go again.

The themes seem okay to me... the new HTC keyboard theme is pretty ugly though. I liked the old one more.

The only usable one for me on swiftkey is the dark grey and green one.

I'm still cycling betwen Swiftkey 3 BETA, Google Voice Typing, native ICS keyboard and Swype.

Updated video, the real time voice typing is most impressive in ICS even though I've not used it as much as I could have yet.

Also notice the Swiftkey 3 BETA multiple joined word error correction kicking in on lazy dog part
