The Huw Edwards situation

Accusations have been forthcoming with evidence enough to prompt a police investigation and no denials from the accused so a reasonable hypothesis is that money changed hands and the victim has a drug problem.

Enough "evidence" that was severe enough to prompt two investigations that were then closed by the police.
The "evidence" seemingly not actually being evidence of crime.

Does Hue have a well documented history of grooming women and once they are under his control putting them to work in his sex webcam business? Is he indicted on rape, sex trafficking and organised crime charges? No he doesn't so its a ridiculous comparison.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty lol..

Yes NFA for both Dan and Huw so they are ok by you..

Again in regards Huw for now yes he appears to be ok.

And again I haven't seen anything at all about Dan so I cannot really comment.

Link something if it helps but when I googled I didnt see anything remarkable. I am a bit confused what the drama is here.

If it someone with influence in my life then maybe. But some people so far removed from me that their actions have no impact on me I honestly couldn't pretend I cared.

I'm also a believer that relationships are complicated and what goes on behind closed doors is no ones business. Many are in marriages of convenience, many have "arrangements" that to an outsider would seem like infidelity.

People just like to act outraged but it's all a front.

It’s true that marriages are insanely complicated and individual but it’s not unreasonable for people to find ‘arrangements’ with much younger people (of a different sex?) to their partner unusual and to associate that with dishonesty at face value. A reasonable person should understand that’s just a face value take and there may be more that meets the eye.

With that said, although I do have an inherent dislike of dishonest people I’m broadly aligned as I can only have a limited degree of concern over someone that doesn’t ‘directly impact’ me. So I did find the hoo hah over Schofield rather over dramatic. However…

Interesting and valid point.

For example a politician, I mean they get away with far too much.

A presenter I would view differently to a journalist for example.

Yes - the politician example was exactly what I was thinking about when I asked that question.

For example, the Cheshire Cat like dishonesty from BoJo makes me dislike him regardless of whether any of it was a crime or not. I mean really, “40 new hospitals”….

Similarly, Trump suggesting at a press conference that putting bleach in lungs to treat covid (or whatever the specific comments were) was behaviour that made me think he should be nowhere near his position of power… yet it wasn’t illegal.

Some people will have similar ‘non-legal’ thoughts over Huw and his role as a BBC news reporter, on the basis that he is supposed to be held to a high degree of honesty in his role of reporting the news. That would be the reasonable ground for the dislike of him, anyway.

Accusations and hypothesis being the key words there, neither of which are proof of anything. I could accuse you of being an idiot, i could even hypothesise why, however that doesn't and in fact shouldn't mean that you are an idiot.
