The I'm getting bored of BF3 thread

Find myself going back to Red Orchestra 2, if friends are not online to squad up in BF3 at least in RO2 people know what a objective is. Quite like the slower paced gameplay as well. BF3 is just run run run and people worried about there K/D which is bad.

Never stuff like objectives capped etc.
 
I think a lot of it is people seen it and done it all before. How many times can you reinvent the wheel?

FPS games are rolled out every month and the market has become so dry and old people generally starting to get sick of it.
 
I dunno I got mixed feelings about BC2. The voice acting and banter between the computer-controlled squadmates in the SP campaign is funny & brilliant and I found myself just listening to them a lot. The battles were great and the weapon sounds were cool.

But then...ugh...each time you stray just a LITTLE...the screen darkens and YOU ARE LEAVING COMBAT AREA 5..4...3...2..etc. appears. That absolutely kills immersion and just confirmed to me that I just cannont cannot cannot bear these "games on rails".

I hear ARMA is a free-roamer kinda shooter (not sure) so I will check that out. In the meantime BC2: uninstalled.
 
All of my BF2 mates have grown up and no longer play :( :p

BF3 on your own sucks most of the time, I really don't have the will unless there's someone on who actually wants team play. The other night with OCUK vs the other forum was a blast, and for once I had a sniper in my squad who was a genuine asset
 
I got bored after a few weeks, only got to level 22 i think online, yes i agree though its the BEST fps game ever, but, well not saying im too old for gaming now, just dont have the time/patience/heart to play as much as i used to back in the bf2 days.

When i fire up my pc now a days though, i like to just stick a racing game or footie on, nothing serious just a laugh with the lads befor going out
 
I've found that the more I play BF3 and get used to it, the more I have started to enjoy it.

To the people that are saying it doesn't feel right, play it more often and keep off BC2 and maybe you'll feel the same way.
 
like i said 346 hours into BF3 all UK servers hit reg/boxes are perfect only time ive ever had reg problems was on a german server which i soon tried to mess around with network slider and couldnt get it working at all so i quit and joined a UK server where the reg is perfect!

i never have any problems with BF either no crashes no battlelog problems 5-6 second map loading times! thats probably why i enjoy the game so much! runs silky smooth on my 120hz 27" samsung too!
 
Haven't played since before Christmas too..

Got fed up with terrible netcode stuff and hit level 50 something, nothing to unlock nothing to do except kill people. Sounds sad but the whole unlock stuff rammed down my throat has really got to me and if i have nothing to do just killing people gets dull.

I will play it again, hopefully after they over haul something to make it feel better.
 
Obviously I agree with the points about BF3 being rubbish but I do think Battlelog was an awesome idea. It may have been a little before it's time and obviously as it's something new most people are very much in the "oh teh noes, change" camp, but it's definitely the way to take games in future.
 
Not so much bored, i'm still enjoying it, however, i have been finding myself increasingly fed up with certain aspects of the game, which usually result in me rage quitting...
it also is starting to lose its hold on me, i find my sessions getting shorter and shorter.
to the point now where i'll put one round in then go away and do or play something else.
 
I still enjoy the original counter strike after 12 years of playing shame no fps now days come close to being as good
 
Played it for 18h. I play a round every couple of weeks. I've clocked in over 143h in BC2.

I don't where the fun factor went with BF3 but it's certainly not there.

Frustrating hitboxes, no teamwork on public servers, K:D whores, it all adds up.

Not to mention that Dice didn't really implement any working support for teamworking. You can't even effectively request ammo/medic pack any more.
