I love this show as I too am on an IT helpdesk

The bit with Richmond at the funeral dressed as a goth and the reaction of the boss was hilarious. My favourite clip.

Since when was the IT Crowd a blockbuster movie. Music and Boxoffice and under it says discuss music and films. Maybe their should be a TV forum.

It was the worst, most cringeworthy programme I have ever seen. I persevered, I really did. Two episodes was the limit I could stand.

I was quite disappointed when I watched it when it first was on tv, but I've been watching the repeats lately, and there's so many funny bits that I never remembered seeing. The acting is very good, although the script isn't quite as sharp as from Black Books or Father Ted. I really really like it now

Apparently some/most parts are recorded in front of a live studio audience, so yeah, I don't know why they need to use the laughter track. And if shows do need to use laughter tracks, can't they make them even a bit more convincing? It's so obvious :\

sure it was a laughter track as noel tells the audience to not laugh at one point. Maybe its a mix of both.

Not everything can work like the office, I think some programmes would be ruined without a laughter track like friends etc. Doesn't mean the show is bad if you don't laugh at everything the track does.
