*** The Kit Thread 13/14 ***

That Arsenal away shirt is very nice!

If only Adidas had the old trefoil logo on their shirts.

I think they're all horrific, the home shirt especially. How hard is it to just give us a red shirt, with white sleeves, white shorts with red trim, sponsor in the middle and the badge in the right place? :p

Still I doubt it will look anything like that mock up, I hope not anyway!

I like the away one!

Also like 3 stripes down the sleeves - evokes memories of the classic early 80's Adidas shirts - in particular the fantastic Ipswich Town one.

The badge has been moved out of reach for Wilshire to kiss it, just before his move to Man City!

Adidas continue teasing the new kit.

I've just checked the Man Utd shop site and it appears that both the home and away shirt expire at the end of the season. So Nike/Utd are introducing TWO new shirts at the same time? Haven't Utd made enough money out of the naming rights to the AON training complex to not need to inflict a double shirt launch on us fans? :p I like to use http://www.footballshirtculture.com/ as my source of new shirts and yet I've seen nothing there about any new Utd shirts.

Does anyone know if its possible to buy the current Real Madrid shirt without the BWIN sponsor logo? I've checked the Real Madrid shop out and there's nothing there. I just thought that the basic design of the white Real Madrid shirt is iconic enough for there to be a sponsorless one out there somewhere?

Man U HAVE to change their shirts since the AON sponsorship has expired and Chevrolet is taking over in the 2013/14 season?

I thought Chevrolet became our sponsor from 2014/15 onwards?

Bucket will probably know for sure but AFAIK that is the case, Aon will be doing the shirts for one more season.

IIRC the only deal that was brought to an end early was the one with DHL which was obviously done due to the new deal with Aon to change Carrington to the 'AON Training Complex' :o

That's my understanding too. I know there are rumours that Chevrolet want to start sponsoring our shirt a season early, whether that means bringing the entire deal forward a year or simply adding another year to the deal I don't know. If Chevrolet did do that, I guess they'd have to pay AON off as well as pay Utd a season's worth of sponsorship money.

Well with the Chevrolet deal, Utd wouldn't be able to call AON off early surely? Chevrolet would have to pay AON off.

Oh and how many people are going to refer to Carrington as the AON Training Complex? Apart from Utd, AON and the media, no-one. :D

Correct.

We have AON for another season. I believe the Gingham kit was a one off just as a nod/tribute to the city's heritage.

That Chelsea kit teaser advert is the worst i've seen since the Rovers Venkys chicken one (that's still by far the worst mind)

Whilst I really like our new kit, I am not liking the collar at all!

Will have to get it though, because of the change of sponsor!

I like the city kit, but the Arsenal home shirt looks awful imo.
