Sniper Elite : Resistance
I had seen the reviews and had played the previous releases, so I roughly knew what to expect. It is basically Sniper Elite 5 - Part 2. I think it is about 8 new missions with some pretty large maps to navigate. I actually enjoyed the game quite a lot and even bought the DLC which is an 'assassinate Hitler' mission at a film studio. I can't help but feel that the Sniper Elite developers are fans of the Hitman series and are attempting to shoehorn some of its gameplay into Sniper Elite, with numerous ways in which a player can complete a mission and kill npc's along the way. This is especially true with the Hitler DLC, as you can set various traps in many of the film set locations that Hitler is expected to make an appearance at. I managed to set a trap next to a dead deer on a hunting film set piece where Hitler set off the trap mine I had set, which exploded and sent the deers antlers thrown into the air and then managed to fall landing in one of his eyes.
One particular part of the game that I am enjoying with Sniper Elite: Resistance is 'Axis Invasion' whereby you join a player's game as an axis sniper and attempt to eliminate them before they either complete the maps' mission that they are presently playing through, or they kill you first.
Unfortunately, with the games multiplayer modes I am seeing a lot of cheaters using wallhacks etc.
Overall, i'd say that if you enjoyed the previous Sniper Elite games, you are bound to enjoy this one too. 8/10.
