The Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom(use spoiler tags!)

So forgot to get the Zora pants and now that area is flooded so have no access to it. My manual save file will mean losing about 2 hours gameplay.

I have just ordered it and should be here tomorrow. Loaned a Switch off my mate to play it through. I have a week off and have a few jobs to do round the house/garden so it will be nice to split those jobs up with sessions on Tears of the Kingdom. :)

Not sure I follow what happened here.

Nintendo are a lot of things but making games that hard lock you out of progressing doesn't tend to be one of them.

It’s the Sidon of The Zora quest you have to complete to get the Zora chestpiece which allows you to swim up waterfalls. If you don’t have the quest look up how to trigger it. I had to look it up because I couldn’t progress without it.

No it's the pants, already have the tunic.

Btw solved it with a save editor.

Yeah those jobs around the house/garden aren’t going to get done once you start TOTK I‘m afraid. Lol

This game is massive. I've done over 90 quests ( main quests, side adventures and side quests ) and still have about 50 I haven't completed. I thought I could finish it before FF 16 gets released next week .... but it's looking touch and go !

Well I had intended to cut the grass, trim my trees and clean my patio today but woke up to rain so it’s a Zelda day… again. Crikey the temples are mind boggling. I am on my second one the fire temple. Those carts are annoying.

I totally cheesed the Fire Temple, in fact I'm not sure I did any of them in the order in which they're "supposed" to be tackled.

They're not 1:1 like Zelda of old, in which there is a clear pathway to completion - I know for a fact I just climbed my way around completing the Fire Temple, probably taking me longer than if I'd have put effort into using my brain to complete it, but we press on.

This is probably the worst temple in the whole series. No sense of direction especially the last gong.

Done 3 temples so far and it's more of a puzzle then having good couple of enemies everywhere. Just some random scattered around. I used to like it when you enter a room and the door gets shut until you beat the enemy in a dungeon.
