It should be taken more seriously, like feedback ratings on eBay. Nobody would buy from someone with loads of negative feedback, and that in itself encourages people to make a decent effort when selling or buying.

If everyone avoided 1-star posts, maybe people would make more of an effort to string together coherant sentences and not post jibberish.

Things are going well so far, I've noticed all the 1 and 2 star threads have fallen away from the 1st page. Maybe they're being avoided or maybe people are thinking twice before creating crappy threads.

Or maybe they are geniunly poor and people dont want to look at them anyway.
