The MacBooks are out!

Stop it, I want one but will have to make do with my iMac for the time being. :(

Still, at least it is a proper PPC one not like these rubbish Intel, spawn of the devil, types. That is what I am telling myself anyway, until I bet a Macbook Pro that is. ;)

Wow, this thing feels so fast compared to my Mac Mini! The screen is jolly nice and there haven't been any glare issues so far, even sitting directly under a light bulb. The keyboard feels a little odd, like the keys are spaced out a little too much... I'll get used to it though. It hasn't got hot/burst into flames/destroyed my nads yet but we'll see.

The trackpad is really great too, the two finger scrolling and two finger ctrl+click works really well.

The speakers are OK, better than I expected and far superior to the Mini's internal one.

It's lovely :D

I don't get the hype, looks exactly like my old Tosh lappy

It's a fantastic looking machine :) I have mine running in clamshell mode with a TFT and keyboard/mouse plugged in.

Decided to pick one of these up in August whilst I'm in the US. Look great, although I'll definitely miss my Powerbook once I sell it on :(

Probably going to max out the RAM to 2GB and put in a 7200rpm HD as soon as I buy it, should be outrageously fast then :)

I really want to get the Black model, but then the extra cost of the cost would almost cover the upgrades I want to make, so I think its going to have to be the high-end white model.

You gonna run it like all the time? You could always have it open and dual screen it :D

I hate dual screen. The idea was to use it to replace my desktop, and by using a laptop it gives me more flexibility :) Lets just hope it doesn't cook itself!

Heat doesn't seem to be a problem so far. I've spent the last couple of hours doing some reasonably intensive things e.g. Lego Star Wars, 1080p video, installing XP via parallels and yes it's got hot but it's still on my lap and unless you're wearing shorts I don't think it's that bad... not any worse than other laptops I've used such as a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D.

-edit-

If I put my slipcase between the laptop and myself it's not even warm :)
