A BATTERY METER! My XPS had that! Oh look audio in/out sockets! Revolutionary! Someone get me a facepalm

Non-removable battery in the Macbook Pro 17". 8 hour charge and 1000 charges. That gives me about 1 and a half years. Great, $2800 for a device that lasts 18 months. What I've always wanted.

"We've sold 6 billion songs... and iTunes is the world's largest media library... and we now have 75 million accounts with credit cards."
"and we have trusted those details with MacRumours"...

Although they "broke" one of the good things about the iTunes store (consistent pricing) its a small price to pay (no pun) for DRM free music. I expected a lot more iTunes Plus tracks but 8 million now and the rest later is great news.

Now that the music is DRM free I might start buying from iTunes. Depends if the quality is better than some of the other big stores.

Well that's it folks -- no Steve, no iPhone nano, no new Mini, no new iMac, no shockers, no surprises. We're off to the floor... but hey, Tony Bennett is incredibly smooth. And that's something, right?

:)

Although at least the glossy screen haters will be happy that the MBPro has a matte screen.
I'm not a glossy screen hater, but I think it's a bad choice to put them on laptops because they get used out and about in various environments where readability is more important than maximum contrast and pop.

Isn't it strange that they seem to always proudly show the crappy aspect of glossy screens in their promo shots?

Overhyped?

DRM free iTunes is amazing! Maybe you don't buy music from iTunes as much as I do, but this is great news for me. My new tracks are still downloading. :D
