Should have been done years ago. A top player with a laziness and attitude issue is never going to end well. The less successful you are as a team, the less you can afford to indulge idiots like this. This is how rich people get entitled little ***** for children. Bad behaviour that is constantly rewarded and no consequences for their actions. Rashford is, by all accounts still a child mentally. A very rich child with the hangers on blowing smoke up him for years as the club gives him insane contracts to validate the hot air.

Very few United fans will give too many ***** when he moves on.

Does anyone think he’s been shielded a lot from it with the media due to him feeding kids? United fans moaned about him for ages not tracking back etc but nothing was ever really said (not that I can recall) about him not tracking back more than others it was more collectively.

Just makes it way more difficult to off load. That coupled with his wages who can he actually go to?

Of course he has. He does a bit of work outside of football and he was borderline saint Rashford. Loads of footballers do charity work. Loads of them put their own money into it as well. There are still people who refuse to see him for what he is because he did that one thing.

While that was all well and good, a cynic might say it was a very clever PR move to cover up a hugely overpaid, lazy player.

Andy Mitten spoke a couple of weeks ago and effectively said that every manager has had problems with Rashford, and it's well known... says it all.

Barca want him on loan but need to get rid of a player or two first. I think that's the only option.

I'm not sure it was done for dubious reasons honestly, I just don't think it was particularly hard and it probably was something he vaguely cares about. I'm sure he would tell you he cares deeply about it but he would also tell you he cares deeply about playing football for United so....

Think I saw that too. When you consider who those managers have been... LVG, Jose, Ole, Carrick, Rangnick, Ten Haag, RVN (for a bit) and Ruben, there's A) a lot of people saying the same thing and B) some very experienced managers there along with less experienced managers in Ole, Carrick and RvN but with either Utd playing experience and winning titles with us/long-term top flight experience so they know what they are talking about.

It is pretty obvious as he was pally with Pogba and Jlingz.

I think the problem with Rashford is that he has become this thing which isn't really human anymore and is just there for the people around him to make money off. Quite sad really. He needs a father figure or something to sort him out and try and bring him out but ultimately it is up to Rashford in the end.

I'm sure he does care about it, I'd hope we all do, but the positive PR was definitely a bonus.

The club aren't blameless either, of course, but the lack of effort is just inexcusable and further compounded by his massive salary. He'd rather be sat courtside at the basketball, draped in diamond jewellery...

Its a prime example of why you don't let club culture and standards slip. People were making endless excuses for him. Isolated incidents aren't an issue, the issue is the overall picture they paint and the fact that we became a club that paid too much, expected too little and the lads were here for a good time and a big payday.

Don't remind me about Jlingz. So much talent yet not enough dedication/application.

But so true about Rashford. He's got advisors who are bigging him up to his face so that he gets a new bumper contract from Utd and they get paid a salary off that. So it's in their own interests to keep him angling for top money. Wasn't Jlingz in the same boat? Needing a father figure to keep him on the straight and narrow and to drown out people out for a bit of cash as "advisors".
