Oh dear. Not going to help squad morale (although he’s not wrong).

Watching now - ad break - morale around the place can’t get much lower though can it?

Also think a lot of them realise they’re very fortunate and probably thinking this is great how i’ve managed to wrangle this contract for my level.

Just seen this not managed to watch it yet though
It was interesting. I think Neville did a decent job in hitting the right balance of holding him to account and respecting him. Sir Jim i found slightly disappointing for someone that has had so much success. I thought he flim flammed around a few issues, didn't seem to give good eye contact and got a bit bogged down in some of the minutiae. However, the facts are clear - the club has been heading towards bankruptcy for at least the last five years and requires big changes. He's hamstrung by working with the Glazers but clearly is playing a long game in which he can wrestle the club back from them.

He at least admitted some mistakes. Mistakes happen, it's forgiveable so long as you don't keep making the same ones time after time as United seem to have done. It was good to hear him supportive of Amorim and that he expects him to be there for a long time. Not sure we learned a lot and focusing on free lunches, the £40k for ex players seems slightly superfluous given the pityful way the data science and recruitment has been run. I would rather have heard how they are fixing some of those critical issues to at least bring us up to the level of a Brighton or a Bournemouth.

Good Interview I thought as Gary said at the end you need a voice to come out and say what going on, he been getting flack and you could argue rightly so I think he addresses a fair few points well, and some he got abit stuck on.

Gary didnt seem to hold back either and pressed him hard on a lot of points, he wasnt going to criticize Glazers.

I feel more happy after seeing that then I was before personally especially his backing of Amorim, just hoping it comes good because it needs to on the pitch.

Watched the full interview with Neville, who I think does well and pins him on quite a few points.

This sort of interview might do some good as the club looks like a complete mess and everyone knows Ratcliffe is the ultimate decision maker. As has been touched on above, he isn't the best communicator, he's obviously brilliant at some things but I can't help but feel he's a real miser, I don't really think he cares about the staff or the players, or the charitable/community elements of the club.

I'm glad Gary actually trashed the Glazers infront of him, and there was nothing he could say really. They've been negligent owners.

At least he seems absolutely steadfast in supporting Amorim, which is essential. They are clearly planning to build him a team and we'll have to hope that works out.

"If you look after the pennies, the pounds will look after themselves."

... coming from a multi-billionaire who is sacking hundreds of people and slashing every budget he can find. *shudder*

That said, I do accept drastic changes needed to be made, and I hope they pay off in the long run. In fairness to him, at least Ratcliffe is attempting to communicate with the fans and explain these decisions.
