US: The Mandalorian

The rules on spoilers for TV shows are that if it's aired in the UK at the same time as US you don't need to use them.
Most people seem to ignore it anyway, but technically the rule is:

Added 01/02/2022

Spoiler tags are REQUIRED for the first 24 hours when discussing shows that air exclusively on Streaming Platforms (e.g. Disney+, Netflix etc).

That was epic!

Great jet pack battle, but seemed to be a lot of fuel when only a few episodes ago we see them running out of fuel after not very long trips.

Moff Gideon was bugging me, I thought I'd seen his final form somewhere else, then it came to me. Did they really model him on Zurg?!

Looking forward to S4.

There was one clone of Moff Gideon that opened there eyes as Grogu got here them, much like how the Mythosaur opened there eyes (for the second time now) that Grogu was near. I'm wondering if this might allow Giancarlo Esposito to return playing a clone that might not be as all evil or Empire as the original is due to having a Force connection potential activated and potentially survived the detonation and early release from their cloning booths. That would certainly allow the actor to remain whilst still playing the same character but altered a bit more and also maintain a differing dynamic between them all.

The new "Darksaber" is clearly going to be green... And formerly owned by a Jedi Master called Yoda at this point... Since you can't have a Force wielder like Grogu be without a potential iconic weapon... :p

Whelp this really went downhill, despite the cinematic visuals and other aesthetic elements it just felt stupider and stupider as the season went on.

Do we expect the spy to turn up in the next season?

I think so. It seems to be an obvious loose end and ties in well with the deal Din made in the final scenes. They also put a lot of money into that set so it makes sense it will be used again!

Series 3 was a mixed bag. It meandered a lot and Moff Gid-face was just a bit of a token Scooby Doo threat. I’ll get you next time, you meddling mandoooooo!!!

The Mandalorian(s?) were better when we knew less about them. They were very clumsy at times in this series, considering how ‘bad ass’ they were supposed to be.

Despite the flabby filler, the final two episodes were some of the strongest. It was good to have some humour with Grogu in the suit. The fighting between the ‘red forcefield stuff’ was cool.

It may have lost its shine and is no longer ‘essential’, but it still works as easy after work TV.

With the shows average runtime of 35-40minutes, I don't think it was intended to be "epic" TV though :) There's nothing wrong at all with being some good light hearted action / watching.

When it's good, it's good. When it's bad, it's "ok"
This came close to "mod gang vesper cringe" bad with Mandalorian training camp and giant birds.

Since Andor this has become comical tbh.
It's all the silly stuff of starwars.

Poor season...writers clearly haven't got a clue what to do when we're in an 8 episode season and over half are filler and then just insert token comical villain for the final two eps and call it a day.

I'm very concerned whether this show actually has any longevity going forward. Hopefully 4 is the last.
